Hi, I’m Justin, and I have the privilege of serving as the Co-Lead Pastor at Legacy Church.
On behalf of my wife and our entire church family, I want to say how incredibly proud we are of you. Today, you made the greatest decision of your life—a decision that not only transforms your future on earth but also secures your eternity.
By surrendering your life to Jesus and choosing His ways over your own, you are never alone again. More than that, your life is no longer defined solely by your own efforts, decisions, or responsibilities. Instead, you have entrusted your life to your Heavenly Father—the One who created you, loves you deeply, has a purpose for your life, and desires the very best for you.
Today marks Day One of your journey with Jesus.
The one thing I want you to focus on is this:
No matter your age—whether you’re 14, 44, or 84—your past does not define you. God’s Word declares in 2 Corinthians 5:17:
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
What an incredible promise! It means that regardless of your mistakes or the painful experiences you’ve endured, those things no longer have authority over your identity. In Christ, you are made new.
Today is your spiritual birthday.
Whether you made this decision today or sometime recently, write down today’s date. Celebrate it. Remember it. Let it become a milestone you’ll always look back on—the day your new life with Christ began.
As you continue growing, you may still face old habits, familiar temptations, or lingering emotions. God will patiently transform you through the process. But remember this: those struggles do not diminish the significance of what happened today.
Your salvation is not based on your ability to live perfectly. It is possible because you accepted God’s free gift of grace through Jesus Christ.
You are not saved because you’ve been good enough or worked hard to earn God’s approval. You are saved because you recognized your need for a Savior and placed your faith in the One who gave His life for you.
Today, I want you to fully embrace this truth:
And not only are the best days of your life still ahead of you, but the greatest promise of all—eternal life with Him—is now your future.
Over the next seven days, you’ll hear me say this often because it’s something we deeply believe at Legacy Church:
Your relationship with Jesus is deeply personal, but it was never meant to be lived in isolation. God designed you to grow in faith alongside other believers.
Let’s end today with a simple prayer. Pray these words from your heart:
Jesus, thank You for saving me. Help me understand this new life You have created me to live. Thank You for dying so that I could have life. With Your help, I commit to following You every day. Amen.
